CMS Sound Masking System

A sound masking machine produces a masking sound frequency, to mask or cover up unwanted background noises. This helps create a more comfortable auditory environment and can aid in concentration or sleep. It can also be used as a speech privacy system helping to mask office noise and offer office privacy.

The sound masking device’s controls allow a broad range of adjustments in various environments to dispel street noise or dull noisy distractions, and allow to use either standard plenum loudspeakers or surface-mount speakers for drywall ceiling.

Compact Sound Masking System Performance Chart

The CMS Compact Masking System only requires to be connected to a maximum of 25 sound masking loudspeakers to generate the masking sound. The noise masking machine’s amplifier is compatible with 25-volt, 70-volt or 8-ohm loudspeakers. The loudspeakers are typically installed in the plenum space above the ceiling tiles. In the case of constant voltage loudspeakers (25-volt and 70-volt), all the loudspeakers can be wired in parallel with 18-AWG wire. That allows easy and cost-effective installation.
